Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on October 27, 2013 in City Centre, Coffee, Drink, Eat

Located in the entrance hall of a former movie theatre, this small eatery is a true gem. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon and after-work treats like you haven’t seen before (or at least, not in Brussels).

Garage à Manger

Garage à Manger is a new eatery, located in the old Mazda garage in Ixelles. It’s connected to second-hand book shop Pêle-Mêle on Chaussée de Waterloo as well. Books and healthy food, what’s not to like?

Aksum Coffee House, the Ethiopian coffee place, recently moved locations, from Rue Haute to Rue des Eperonniers, behind Grand Place. Time for a visit and a cup of coffee!

B & S

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on September 11, 2013 in Coffee, Eat, Sunday, Uccle

B & S or Brother & Sister is a healthy eatery in Uccle. I’m not too keen on their baby blue interior, but their menu is delicious and I entirely agree with their tag line ‘All you feed is love’.

A bit tucked away behind Place Stephanie, Sophie Chocolat is an eatery with sweet and salty food, great coffee and free wifi. The shop’s speciality is the home-made chocolate fondant (moelleux au chocolat).

Healthy food in all shapes and colours, that’s what ICI is all about. This little eatery is located near Place Brugmann and has a menu with something for everybody: from a ham and cheese sandwich to beef salad or a slice of homemade fruit tart.

Jat’ Café

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on May 31, 2013 in City Centre, Coffee, Drink, Eat, Sunday

There’s a new coffee bar in town, down Rue de Namur to be precise. It’s called Jat’ Café, after the Brussels word jat, which means coffee mug. On the menu: coffee in all flavours, bagels, salads, cakes and more.

Ah Bon?

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on March 3, 2013 in Coffee, Drink, Eat, Saint-Gilles

Ah Bon? is a little eatery, serving organic and local food with an Italian twist. Their tasty homemade spelt flour piadina come with a variety of stuffings, and are very much worth a little detour.

Laurent Gerbaud

I like chocolate. The darker the better. No creamy fillings or special flavours for me. Although, I have one weakness: orange peel covered with dark chocolate. And chocolate maker Laurent Gerbaud is a master in combining fruits with chocolate.
