Ah Bon?

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on March 3, 2013 in Coffee, Drink, Eat, Saint-Gilles

Ah Bon? is a little eatery, serving organic and local food with an Italian twist. Their tasty homemade spelt flour piadina come with a variety of stuffings, and are very much worth a little detour.

Jynga

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on January 13, 2013 in Coffee, Eat, Saint-Gilles, Sunday

Jynga is a patisserie run by a Brazilian/Portuguese duo. Think pastéis de nata (custard tart),  bolo de arroz (sort of cake) and many other sweet treats. Delicioso!

Kitchenette

Posted by Bruxelles la Belle on January 2, 2013 in Coffee, Eat, Saint-Gilles

When I noticed Kitchenette for the first time, I thought it was a vintage furniture shop. They hadn’t opened yet, and all you could see were orange retro lamps and cute wooden cabinets. A bit later, I learned it was a new coffee/sandwich/cookie shop. Even better!

I don’t know who Roni is. I’ve never met him, but we got in touch last Saturday night … when I was looking for an online pizza delivery. Roni was the star of the evening, with on-time delivered, delicious pizza.

Upside Down

Walking around and discovering new shops is still one of my favourite pastimes. On my way to Mmmmh, I noticed a new vintage/antiques shop called Upside Down. It had only just opened its doors.

A new juice bar just opened up on Parvis de Saint-Gilles. They specialise in juice, smoothies and soups. I had one sip and was sold! Welcome, Jardin.
